Can I Buy Just the TV Mounting Plate for My Caravan TV Bracket?
One of the most common questions we receive is whether it's possible to purchase only the TV mounting plate that attaches to the back of the television, rather than replacing the entire TV bracket assembly.

"We need a new bracket piece for our wall-mounted TV bracket. We still have the wall-mounted section inside the caravan, but we need the back plate that attaches to the TV and slides into the wall bracket. Can I buy this part separately?"
Can I Purchase Just the TV Plate?
Unfortunately, in most cases, replacement TV mounting plates are not available separately, especially when the original bracket brand and model are unknown.
While many caravan TV brackets look similar, different manufacturers use different locking systems and mounting designs. The plate that attaches to the TV must match the wall bracket exactly for a secure fit.
Without knowing the exact make and model of your existing bracket, it's almost impossible to guarantee compatibility.
Why Isn't a Replacement Plate Usually Available?
Each TV bracket manufacturer designs its own way for the TV plate to slide into, lock onto, or clip into the wall-mounted section.
Even brackets that appear similar can have:
- Different locking mechanisms
- Different slide-in profiles
- Different spacing between attachment points
- Different safety retention systems
Because of these differences, a replacement plate from another brand is unlikely to fit correctly.
What's the Best Solution?
In most situations, we recommend replacing the complete TV bracket assembly.
This ensures:

- Your TV remains secure when travelling
- You avoid the risk of an incorrect fit
- You benefit from newer bracket designs and features
Will a New Bracket Mount in the Same Position?
Usually, yes.
Most caravan manufacturers install reinforcement or timber blocking behind the wall where the TV bracket is fitted. If you mount the new bracket in the same location as the original, you can generally use the existing reinforced area.
The mounting hole pattern may differ from your old bracket, but the reinforced section behind the wall will typically still provide a suitable mounting point.
