How it works

The mount attaches firmly to your tow bar with a U bolt and connects to a secure point further forward, such as the vehicle chassis or spare tyre holder. This ensures that if the tow bar fails, the breakaway switch mount will disengage from the tow bar and activate the breakaway switch via the forward attachment point. This setup avoids issues common with traditional breakaway switch attachments, which can fail if connected directly to weak points on chains or the tow bar.
