Breaksafe Breakaway System 6000 includes Battery and Safety Cable
The Breaksafe 6000 has many new features including easy access to the battery compartment for servicing and a fully enclosed internal circuit board case for better water resistance.
In an accidental separation of the tow vehicle from the trailer the Breaksafe System has been designed to activate the electric brake and brake lights on all caravans, trailers, horse floats and campers.
Breaksafe will not only apply the electric brakes and the brake lights of the trailer, but will keep them applied for approx 20 minutes, giving you time to secure your trailer.
Breaksafe has its own power supply, which charges while driving, or it can be charged externally with a battery charger. It also has a battery condition indicator, allowing you to tell the condition of the battery, with the push of a button.
Each Breaksafe breakaway kit comes complete with battery, coil cable breakaway switch and all mounting hardware, as well as full installation instructions.

Make sure you understand the size of this thing. It's pretty big but does the job nicely. I put it on the outlet, but if I had the room I'd put one on the inlet as well.
