Alko Electric Breakaway Switch Kit
The Alko electric breakaway switch kit is designed for trailers and caravans. It includes a weldable tab that can also be mounted with screws.
Trailers with a GTM over 2000 kg require a system that applies the trailer brakes at full power for at least 15 minutes if the tow vehicle and trailer separate unexpectedly.
The breakaway switch connects the trailer, tow vehicle, and breakaway system. It signals the breakaway device to activate the brakes if separation occurs.
