Tow a trailer safely and legally with the BMPRO TrailSafe break-away safety system. Designed to activate trailer electric brakes automatically if the trailer detaches from the tow vehicle, it meets Australian regulations for trailers over 2000kg.

Operation and Testing

When the mechanical pull pin is removed, TrailSafe detects trailer separation, activating the trailer electric brakes and brake lights. Brakes remain active until the pin is replaced or battery charge is depleted.

LED status indicators show battery condition during break-away or manual test:

• Green: Battery is in good condition
• Orange: Battery condition requires checking

To test the system, remove the pull pin and observe the LED status lights. If green, the system is functional.

Regulatory Compliance

Complies with Australian Design Rule requiring trailers over 2000kg to have a break-away safety system that can hold brakes active for at least 15 minutes after disconnection.
