Used with the Breaksafe 6000 Breakaway unit, this remote monitor is fitted to the tow vehicle and checks the charge condition of the Breaksafe battery each time the brakes are applied. If the battery is low, a red light will be visible on the front panel of the monitor and a buzzer will sound.

The BREAKSAFE RM6000 Remote Battery Monitor fits inside the tow vehicle and is activated each time the brake pedal is pressed. Its extra circuitry disconnects the Breaksafe battery from the charging circuit and links it to the Remote Monitor, which then applies a tiny electronic load, reducing the battery terminal voltage. The microprocessor inside the Remote Monitor measures the voltage drop over a pre-set interval to determine the battery charge state; if the Breaksafe battery is fully charged, the RM6000's front panel will display a green light; if not, the panel will flash a red light and sound an alarm for 10 seconds.
The Remote Monitor must be used with a Breaksafe 5000 or 6000 breakaway kit; it won't work with other systems.
