Graham Whitby (Sydney, AU)
Heron Q replacement compressor

Had a customer with a Marc1 to 3 heron split system with a dead compressor
Brought this unit to adapt it to fit and being a refrigeration technician and gasfitter am quite competent to undertake the work
So basically the dead compressor was removed after reclaiming the old R22 refrigerant
Sat new comp in place and marked new mount locations and using new rivnuts drilled holes and fitted new rivnuts and bolted comp into place
Installed a new Capacitor and wired up new comp to suit the new windings
Pressure tested system
Evacuated the system and regassed with R407c reinstalled the condensing unit as it's not possible to do the compressor change whilst installed
Retested the system and evacuated and commisioned
Hooked up power and Have a very Happy customer
